Hi,
I've got some ideas to improve anthill-OS. I can submit patches, but I'd like
to get feedback on whether they will be accepted first before I go to the
trouble of submitting them.
1. Reduce vertical space on admin console:
This will be done by moving the links that are currently at the bottom of each
table into the header of the table.
For example, the "Projects" section header will read "Projects (create)", where
the word "create" is the hyperlink which currently has it's own line called
"Create New Project" at the bottom of the table.
Same idea for Create New Dependendency Group, Create New Schedule, and Pause /
Flush Queue.
2. Move the Build Queue section to the top of the page, just under "Anthill
Properties" section:
I have several projects. So, when I'm monitoring the build queue, I always have
to scroll down to see the queue, even on high resolution.
3. Show "last successful" build time for failed builds:
My team member and I have implemented this as a green box with the last
successful timestamp, which is contained within the red "failed build" box, just
below the failed timestamp. The last successful time is in parenthesis.
Although this is currently hardcoded, I could make it optional via a property,
and turned off by default, if we think it might confuse people.
Anybody have interest in these changes? If so, should I submit them as one
single patch, or submit them separately (dunno if this will cause conflicts)?
Thanks,
Chad
