Eric,
Well, nothing seems unusual to me.
Anthill server: Builder-Dev
jdk141_05
Red Hat 2.4.21-47.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 5 20:38:41 EDT 2006 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 8)
Weblogic server: WLS7DEV - (where the unzip is occurring
jdk142_08
Red Hat 2.4.20-24.8 #1 Mon Dec 1 13:38:19 EST 2003 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Red Hat Linux release 8 (Psyche)
After further testing it seems one of two things may be happening;
either the file transfer is failing or the cleanup is occurring before
expanding the zip file has completed. I'm guessing it's the first case.
I tried
Copying the zip file after it was moved to WLS7DEV and found that the
zip file is undersized when it's failing. I also setup the artifact
hash (md5) and it makes no difference.

Pat,
Sorry about the vagueness. I was referring to the digest settings, but
as I reviewed the matter I don't think that setting a digest would help
in this case. By the way, the digest algorithm, if set, will cause
created artifacts to be hashed. When the artifact is pushed to another
machine, the agent rehashes the artifact and makes sure there is a
match.
Going back over some of our own deployment failures, I do see one or two
of these, so there appears to be an issue not limited to your
environment. That said, it sounds like this is happening on a fairly
regular basis for you, and we haven't encountered that in our own
environment or at other client sites. Is there anything interesting
about the machine(s) you see this on most often? Is it an odder version
of unix, or solaris? Is there a special JDK being used?
