Were are trying to get out head around how to manage and organize TAGS
in SVN via AHP. I would be curious to hear what others are doing in this
area.
My assumptions are roughly this:
- We do CI builds
- We do low-ceremony dev deploys
- We do formal releases to QA
Currently in SVN we support BLD-M.m.bugfix.bld and REL-M.m.bugfix.bld
tag styles per the SVN recommendations that we've seen
But when I do those Dev deploys AHP wants a new stamp, or can I skip
that (certainly I can skip the labeling part)
Then, sooner or later I'll want a new label for those RELEASES. I have
only tinkered with the remote SVN step that can promote a label. Does it
rename the label? ...or make a new one?Does anyone try and organize
those label by putting the BLD ones in a subdirectory to reduce clutter?
Can AHP reference a BLD label in a subdirectory in order to create a new
on in 'tags'?
