The main docs for 2.x are available on the downloads page (down towards
the bottom). The API is not, but I'll send that as an attachment
directly to you immediately after this mail. Could be helpful for scripting.
The wiki still has the best information for writing scripts although the
links to the APIs are currently broken.

The extension guide on that wiki page will have an example for a working
directory script and an explanation.
