I have tried,and it works, to bind to LDAP with explorer but it doesn't 
from AHP.

I was even able to get to the user I am trying for the test login as well 
(me) and was able to verify schema info for First Name (givenName) and 
Last Name (sn) but we don't have an email field per se.

I have tried using both the search pattern and the other method and 
neither worked.
