[Anthill] anthill "no vss database" found

I have tried every possible combination and now I am stuck.
This is the combination that I use now on the project.anthill file

Does the vss home need to be pointed to the shared drive where the VSS
server exists?
Does the vss.root need to be pointed to the folder above where the
srcsafe.ini file exists?
And I am using JDK1.5 and xp as client with nt server being the vss
database.
Please advice. Maybe I am missing something quiet basic.
