unFREAKINbelievable.
FC4's tomcat user has a home of /usr/share/tomcat, and all the
directories in there are actually symbolic links to directories under
/var/lib/tomcat5. OK, fine.
/usr/share/tomcat is owned by root! As was much of /var/lib/tomcat5.
DOH!
So I did a chown -R tomcat.comcat /usr/share/tomcat /usr/local/anthill,
restarted, and it worked.
