Overview
As the QA manager you are responsible for leading the QA team through
the full life cycle of development, including requirements and spec
review, managing test resources, test planning, design, review and
execution. You will interface with Product Management, Engineering and
Field Support engineers to ensure the quality of Everstream's solutions.

Specific Roles
The position includes the following specific roles:

*	Create and execute appropriate test strategies and plans for QA.
*	Develop and execute automation testing strategy and processes.
*	Report on product quality within the company via execution of
detailed test plans/cases and accurate reporting of test cases executed,
bugs discovered, bugs fixed, etc. 
*	Establish QA metrics and track the effectiveness of the QA team
against these metrics.
*	Drive and manage the bug resolution process, represent QA in
project meetings to ensure efficient testing and bug fixing process, and
be an effective advocate for the QA group 
*	Manage the day-to-day activities of the QA team. 
*	Continue to build an effective test organization by driving the
recruiting and hiring of QA engineers, developing and managing the group
*	Investigate, recommend, implement and manage testing tools
*	Configure and maintain multiple test environments
*	Participate in product requirements and other documentation
reviews to extract test scenarios
*	Work closely with development and operations organizations in
the company to promote software quality standards
*	Work closely with Customer Support to replicate customer issues
and product field use cases


Job Requirements:

*	5-7 years experience in Software QA with focus on testing
web-based and/or Java applications
*	Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing,
automation testing, and script languages such as Java/Perl/Javascript
and a thorough understanding of SQA methodologies. 
*	Experience testing database-driven applications, experience
writing complex SQL queries in an Oracle environment
*	Working knowledge of Version Control, Defect Tracking, and Build
tools
*	Understanding of operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and
Linux
*	Understanding of application server environments including
Apache and Tomcat
*	Excellent team building skills, including cross-functional team
building. 
*	Effective verbal and written skills
*	Strong management, organizational and process skills. 
*	Experience with implementing successful automated testing
strategies and tools.
*	Bachelors Degree in CS, MIS, or Business desirable
