ROLE IN DETAIL 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW 

 

The right person for this job would be a self starter with the ability to
think out of the box (overcome hurdles in a smart way). 

Demonstrates detailed knowledge of assigned system applications or
technologies - often possessing a breadth of knowledge with multiple
technologies, platforms, or systems.

Must be proficient with hands-on development in JAVA/J2EE. 

Functions as a technical systems expert providing accurate estimates of
effort to design, code, and test and implement technical project components.


Effectively delegates portions of the assignment to less senior developers
while coaching their efforts and maintaining overall accountability. 

Works to support goals of team, willingly shares knowledge and skills, and
spends time mentoring less senior developers. 

Provides leadership, coaching and feedback to other team members. Recognizes
where issues lie and formulates strategies to address.

Communicates frequently and professionally to team members, external
vendors, other I/S personnel, and clients. 

Effectively manages time to carry stretch workloads. 

Completes all assigned tasks on time and within budget and quality
standards. <li>Contributes to the definition of best practices and standards
for assigned applications. 

Understands when and how to escalate issues to management team. 

Lives corporate values and operating principles and coaches other team
members where exhibited behavior is in conflict with values.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

Responsible for delivery of design, code or testing for substantial modules
or multiple functions with highly complex technical requirements. 

Ideal candidate must be a college graduate, 5-10 years of IS experience of
which 3+ years should be with hands-on JAVA/J2EE development. 

Previous exposure to Banking, Electronic Funds Transfer systems, Web
Methods, Websphere and MQ helpful. 

Must be self-motivated with strong communication skills.

 

COMPENSATION AND OTHER BENEFITS 

Top bracket base salary based on experience around $ 90,000

Performance based bonus
